Latest Happenings
So things have been pretty good lately. I just found out that I passed my exam making it 8 passed exams. For my 7th exam I was sure for days that I hadn't passed, but I really had. I think I was driving my mom and Chris nuts because I was so upset - but it worked out.
I have almost finally finished my first knitting project since I have been in school. All that is left is weaving in the ends. I made the Drop Twist shawl from Knit Picks. I did start my next project because I really didn't feel like weaving in the ends, so I really just need to sit down and do it. I started my first lace project which is a scarf - I thought it was a good way to try making a lace pattern. Its coming along well - and I am making more time for my knitting because besides my running, its one of the few things I can do by myself to calm down. Hopefully I will weave in the ends and can post a picture of it.
This Saturday is the physicals event at my mom's school - so trying to coordinate for that has certainly kept me busy and my inbox full. I am excited that it is going to happen though.
Also Sunday, I went to my first ever All Hallow's Eve service. It was a neat experience and I am really glad I went. Before the service, we had food, fellowship and pumpkin carving :). Next year, e are hoping to extend the festivities to the community and maybe even have our own pumpkin patch. We had a fire pit going and candles lining the pathway. It was great.
Besides that, I am just trying to keep up with all the school work and keep running and just stay afloat. My next race is November 20th and is a 10K. Just building up for a half marathon hopefully in March, then the Chicago marathon in year. It is going well though. It is hard to believe that we are quickly approaching the holiday season - probably my favorite time of year.
